ESPN Pulls MNF Song.
I guess if you're going to go out and be stupid, use both barrels...
"...told "Fox and Friends" that he thought Speaker of the House John Boehner playing golf with President Obama "would be like Hitler playing golf with (Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin) Netanyahu ... In the shape this country is in?"
Told by anchor Brian Kilmeade that he didn't understand the analogy, Williams said: "I'm glad you don't, brother, because a lot of people do. They're the enemy." Asked who, Williams said: "Obama. And Biden. Are you kidding? The Three Stooges."
Put the bottles down Bocephus...it's affecting your understanding of history and math. Later in the article it states that he wants to run for Senate on the GOP platform. Well, they aren't about to increase funding for education and he's from TN....best of luck you rich moron.
With all of the extreme opposition to anything these days it's great to see that political leaders had the political courage to do something other than yell at each other.
UPDATE: Looks like he apologized. LINK

Weekends this nice...
A quick trip to visit family on Saturday yielded some great "treasures". Mostly electronics. The gems of the bunch were the Sony speakers and receiver I gave my sister. Evidently it was a "loaner" program as I have it all back. Still works great and should be easy to put in the lower level with the older TV/DVD in case someone doesn't like what I'm watching elsewhere.
Sunday has so far been the "garage" day. Cleaning up the miscellaneous junk, tossing lots of odds & ends and making an adjustment on the bike. TV in the garage in on with a football game on for background noise.
Perfect weather. Maybe I'll get a short ride in.

Epic Road Trip
I said to stay tuned and hopefully that long pause didn't scare anyone away...not that anyone really reads this, but there are some updates.
There are some participant changes, but the "core group" is still together. For now. One is getting married and picked a date somewhere around 60 days prior to this trip. I think that's a lousy excuse. Also, they are getting married at the starting point. Part of me thinks they're going to "scout" some car lots, which is prohibited *ahem*
Either way...plans are still going forward. The start point is Vegas and we're going to drive to Omahell. No interstates. No chain-hotels. No chain-restaurants. Try not to get shot. Try to get a stuffed armadillo. Those are the highlights so far...

Banks hope you're stupid.
Dear General Public, I realize that being charged $5/mnth for the use of a debit card might seem unfair. I mean, after all, it's access to your money. How about this instead. Tally up how much fuel it would cost you to drive to your bank and withdraw exactly what you need for your purchases. Or hope the retailer you are planning to visit will still accept checks. You should probably be thankful you are not a Citi Bank customer as they're getting hit with a $15/mnth account fee.
Or, stop being stupid. They're going to do what it takes to stay in business. If you don't like it, try changing banks. They are really hoping that you switch to credit cards. I'm guessing you'll do something that dumb, but I hope not.
You pick. Either way, just please shut up.

Road Trip
I've watched too many episodes of "Top Gear"... Now I have planned, with my friends Nic and Kellie, to make a road trip.
This road trip started with "Hey, let's fly somewhere, buy a really cheap car and drive it somewhere else"....it's now a trip from Vegas back to Omahell...
Stay tuned...more details to come.
